Pakistan maritime security ships on goodwill visit to Sri Lanka

Two Pakistan maritime security ships are to visit Sri Lanka this week on a goodwill mission, the Pakistan High Commission in Colombo said.The High Commission said that in a display of brotherly relationship between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, Pakistan Maritime Security Ships (PMSS) HINGOL and BASOL will be arriving at Colombo Port for a four day port of call on Thursday. During the call, the Mission Commander Ashfaq Ali, will pay courtesy call on Commanders of Sri Lanka Navy, Coast Guard and Western Naval Area, the Pakistan High Commission said. During their stay at Colombo, PMSS HINGOL and BASOL will take part in professional maritime drills with their Sri Lankan counterparts besides playing friendly basketball and volleyball matches.Pakistan and Sri Lanka have strong maritime ties and engage in multifaceted cooperation. Her body was discovered at a property on Vicarage Lane in Hambledon on Monday.She lived in a converted pub at the end of the lane, where houses are worth as much as £1.6m. Neighbours said she had been living there for at least 10 years and had two sons.One woman who lives just off Vicarage Lane told the Telegraph: “We saw her jogging up and down the village. She kept herself to herself.”Another neighbour said: “People keep themselves to themselves round here but that lady was out regularly.”I’ve seen her out running around the village.”A 75-year-old woman who lives in the village said: “One of the victim’s neighbours told me that he had heard a loud bang and thinks she may have fallen down the stairs.”A Hampshire Police spokeswoman said: “We are investigating the death of a woman at a house in Hambledon.”Officers were called at 12.39pm on Monday July 1 to Vicarage Lane where the body of a woman in her 50s was discovered. read more
